Effectivity
23 June 2025
Key Highlights
- MyDigital ID
An official digital identity authentication system developed by the Government of Malaysia, enabling secure user verification. - Single Sign-On (SSO)
This feature allows users to log in once and access multiple MDA systems seamlessly. While currently available only in MedC@St 2.0+, SSO will be gradually implemented across other MDA platforms. - User Profile
All users are required to update their profile information by providing their National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) number (for Malaysian citizens) or passport number (for non-citizens). Although MyDigital ID is only available to Malaysians, this information is necessary to ensure accurate user identification and to facilitate future authentication improvements. - Login Options
At this stage, logging in with MyDigital ID is optional. Users may continue accessing the system using their existing username, password, and OTP. Nevertheless, adoption of MyDigital ID is highly encouraged for improved security and user convenience.
Implications to Clients
For organizations managing a MedC@St 2.0+ account, the system will automatically redirect users to the Profile page upon login. Users must input their IC (Identification Card) or passport number to ensure that only authorized personnel can access the system.
