On 30 June 2025, the Vietnam Ministry of Finance issued Circular No. 64/2025/TT-BTC, announcing a reduction in government fees and charges for certain administrative procedures, including those within the medical sector. This initiative aims to support businesses and citizens by reducing financial burdens.

Key Highlights
Reduced Government Fees
All government fees and charges related to medical activities, including medical device registration, will be reduced by 50% from current standard rates during the effective period.
Applicable Fees for Medical Device Registration
- Class A: 500,000 VND
- Class B: 1,500,000 VND
- Class C & D: 3,000,000 VND
Implications to Clients
Clients are advised to take note of the revised government fees applicable to medical device registration applications submitted between 01 July 2025 and 31 December 2026. This presents an opportunity for cost savings for planned registrations within this period.
