Vietnam: Survey and Gathering Feedback for the Draft of Medical Device Law

Regulatory updates, Vietnam

On October 4, 2024, the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Vietnam issued three notices—Notice No. 6065/BYT-HTTB to the Department of Health (DoH), Notice No. 6066/BYT-HTTB to medical device manufacturers, and Notice No. 6067/BYT-HTTB to traders, exporters, and importers—calling for a survey of the current situation and gathering feedback on the draft of the Medical Device Law in Vietnam. The MoH aims to collect input from all relevant stakeholders in this process.

Here are the key points as follow:

  • Participation in the Feedback Process: The MoH encourages the DoH, medical device manufacturers, and companies involved in trading, importing, and exporting medical devices to participate in this survey and feedback collection process.
  • Submission of Feedback: The MoH has provided a standardised form for the DoH and companies to submit their feedback and opinions. The deadline for submitting completed forms is October 29, 2024. This will ensure that feedback is reported and integrated into the draft law in a timely manner
